Izzy Mair
Izzy Mair is the Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO at Gudorf Law Group. Having been with the firm since 2021, Izzy manages the day-to-day business operations of the office by providing general administrative support, facilitating communication between departments, planning meetings, and keeping the office organized. She also takes part in developing, evaluating, and implementing procedures with team members to improve efficiency. In addition, she works closely with Ted Gudorf, CEO, to provide crucial support and “keep the trains running on time.”
Clients appreciate Izzy’s cheerful demeanor and are most likely to encounter her at workshops and events hosted by the firm. They may also interact with her over the phone, through email, on Zoom, or face-to-face when they visit the office. Izzy helps to answer questions clients may have about the estate planning process and sometimes sits in on appointments to provide additional support. The aspects of her job that she loves most is working with her colleagues, meeting with clients, and the fact that every day is different.
Originally from the U.K., Izzy moved to Dayton with her husband to be closer to his family. Prior to moving to the United States, she earned a business degree and worked in a variety of settings, including a nuclear power plant. After serving as a community liaison officer within one of the business settings, she worked with a local school. As a result of this work, she decided to train to become a teacher and subsequently worked in education for over 20 years, eventually becoming a principal. Although the clients at Gudorf Law Group are decades older than her former students, they benefit just as much from Izzy’s kindness and ability to clearly communicate new information.
Izzy has a Bachelor’s degree in European Business with French from the University of Leicester and an advanced diploma in Administrative Management from the Institute of Administrative Management. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Business Studies and Economics from the University of London Institute of Education, and earned her National Professional Qualification for Headteachers. When Izzy is not at work, she enjoys reading, dining out, traveling, Sudoku, and yoga.
